About Services:

Locate Services-Utilities Plus, LLC specializes in locating numerous forms of underground utilities including sewer/septic, private gas/oil, power/electrical, communications and water lines.  Washington State Law, RCW 19.122, states every person doing any type of excavation must call before they excavate.  The normal process is to call 1-800-424-5555 or 811 and the individual utility companies will come and locate/mark the services that are owned by them, but the rest of the lines are left up to the individual to have private companies come and locate the services at the caller’s expense. To avoid incurring multiple bills and a large headache you can have Utilities Plus, LLC come and do your complete locate at a fraction of the time and cost.   

Temporary Survey Markings-Utilities Plus, LLC works hand in hand with survey companies prior to excavations to do pre-design and pre-survey markings.  Marking all potential hazards is a great practice, as it is always better to be safe than sorry. 

Electrical Fault Finding-This service involves finding an exact location where a fault has occurred in your power line so you can repair just that section instead of the whole line. For example, your power outage could be caused by gofers chewing through the line and creating a single fault location. We can quickly locate the fault, so you can get your power back quickly and save you from having to replace the whole line.

Site Preservation-Washington state law requires any company or person who has had utilities marked for a large project(s) (example: Hospital, road repair) must maintain these marks throughout the entirety of the project. Utilities Plus, LLC can be hired to maintain these marks throughout the project, in order to have the marking clearly visible for the site to run as safely and smoothly as possible. We also work hand in hand with public utility companies and contractors to make sure everything gets marked and stays marked.

Damage Prevention and Education-Utilities Plus, LLC is available to conduct seminars and workshops for construction teams and employees to teach the proper process around how to handle a locate. This includes how to call in a locate, the information required by the state and what people need to do to maintain the utility line locates throughout the project.  This training also includes what to do if there is damage on the site and how to cover off on all liability issues for their respective company, including picture documentation and write ups.  

Certifications:
All Utilities Plus, LLC employees are 24-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certified.   Each member of the team has gone through the necessary training to ensure compliance with all the safety requirements employers must meet in order to conduct the five types of hazardous waste operations conducted in the United States under OSHA Standard 1910.120 "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response."
